Before filing your application, you should therefore ensure that your creation is new and original, keeping in mind that prior creations that could prevent you from securing protection for your design may have been registered at any time and in any territory. If you fail to do so, you run the risk of a third party bringing legal action against you once your application has been published in the Official Bulletin of Industrial Property.
