Working visit to the Principality by Mr. Pascal FAURE, Director General of the French Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI)

On March 27, 2025, Mr. Pascal FAURE, Director General of INPI, accompanied by two of his collaborators (Mr. Jérémie FENICHEL, Director of the Industrial Property and Business Department and Mr. Eric CATAPANO, PACA Regional Delegate within the Economic Action Department) made a working visit to the Principality.

Among the highlights of the visit, Mr. FAURE signed a memorandum of understanding with Mr. Pierre-André CHIAPPORI, Conseiller de Gouvernement-Minister des Finances et de l'Economie, aimed at strengthening cooperation between INPI and the Industrial Property Division (D.P.I.) of the Direction du Développement Economique, through joint activities and projects. These projects include the harmonization of procedures for processing applications for intellectual property protection, the pooling of resources, and participation in awareness, promotion and information campaigns as part of the programs developed by the Alliance francophone de la propriété intellectuelle.

During the visit, the INPI Delegation had the opportunity to meet Sandrine SAUVAL, Director of the MONACOTECH incubator, and four of her startups (Neuraccure, Nursinnov, Corialiotech and Sea Further), who presented their innovations.

Mr. Pascal FAURE and his team took the opportunity to give them valuable advice on the intangible protection of their creations, and reminded them of the importance of appropriating intellectual property rights to turn them into genuine growth levers.

He also had the opportunity to talk at length with Mr. Stéphan BRUNO, Director of the Economic Development Division, and Mr. Jean-Pierre SANTOS, Head of the D.P.I., who presented the activities and ambitions of his Division, supported in particular by the memorandum of understanding.

The visit to the Principality was an opportunity to demonstrate the excellent relations that the two national offices have maintained for several decades, and to officially mark the D.P.I.'s entry into the Alliance francophone de la propriété intellectuelle.
